Clean Energy Overview
Our clean renewable energy solutions provide an energy source when traditional supply is not desirable.
The TIC-EDGE•R Off-Grid Solar Power Systems and UPS Systems are engineered to provide an environmentally friendly solution for industrial, marine, off-shore, infrastructure, and rural applications, where 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 36 Vdc, 48 Vdc, 120 Vac, 240 Vac, or a combination thereof are needed, and power from the grid or other power sources are not suitable or available. We can design systems that can power any device. The systems are individually designed to meet the specific requirements of your application. They can be designed to power a single device up to hundreds of devices in simplex or redundant configuration. A solar panel's exposure to the sun in a stationary application is easier to predict compared to a non-stationary application. However, we have the calculation tools, the design experience, and many field-proven solutions to handle non-stationary applications successfully. All systems are designed for 24/7/365 operation. The backup time from the battery bank varies depending on the requirements of the application but is normally designed to last between 9 and 12 days. All our systems include maintenance free, non-spill, and sealed GEL batteries. We design solutions for non-hazardous areas as well as hazardous areas, both intrinsically safe and explosion proof. For marine, offshore, infrastructure, or other installations where high wind may be a challenge, we are providing mounting structures and solar panels rated for wind speed up to 170 MPH (76 m/s). The TIC-EDGE•R Off-Grid Solar Power Systems and UPS Systems can be used in a wide range of applications. The systems provide 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 36 Vdc, 48 Vdc, 120 Vac, or 240 Vac to hard-wired or wireless field instruments to measure level, pressure, flow, and temperature, SCADA RTU systems, nodes for remote monitoring, street/area/sign lighting systems, fire & gas detectors, access control systems, CCTV, intelligent traffic control solar systems (ITS), railroad telemetry, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, emergency power, cathodic protection, fans, and more. The main components in a complete system are the solar panel(s), solar panel mounting structure, powder coated NEMA 3R system enclosure, charge controller(s), US DOT/ICAO/IATA/UL recognized battery bank, overload protection, installation/operation manual, and electrical schematics.
